  I held my husband's funeral reception here but unfortunately was badly let down by the fact that despite being told unlimited tea and coffee was included, my guests paid £1.50 per cup, which was highly embarrassing and distressing for me to learn afterwards, because it had to be ordered at the Bar. This was not made clear in the brochure and my letter to the Management has been acknowledged as received but totally ignored. It is a pity as the food was nicely presented. I had intended inviting friends to a dinner in the hotel restaurant, but this and the fact that my complaint has been totally disregarded has put me off. There appears to be a lack of organisation and attention to detail in standard hospitality procedure. When guests are invited back to a funeral reception for refreshments, the very least they expect is a complimentary tea or coffee. I would advise anyone contemplating using this facility to get every detail in writing and not rely on a phone call.

  Beautiful quite hotel. Staff are lovely and make you feel very welcome and are super polite! Food is good a nice little menu they have and a good kitchen staff! 5* for me.

  Very nice for a meal. I didn't stay just used restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and service was good.

  Absolutely amazing stay. Incredibly well priced rooms in a wonderful old Victorian manor with the world's loveliest staff and great (also well priced) food. Decent amount of beers on tap too. The room was warm and the bath was fantastic with lots of hot water. Wish we could've stayed longer.
